Hi, my name is Naveed ur Rehman. I am 26 and I am an application developer based in Karachi, Pakistan. I started computer programming as hobby from a young age, back in year 1998 when I was 13, with GW-Basic and then Visual Basic 6. Almost all of my expertise and skills are self-taught and I have never been to any institute ever.

In year 1999, I participated in an inter-school “Science Exhibition” held at DMS School, Karachi, where I presented my two software projects. I was awarded with special prize and that was my first achievement.

Then in year 2000, I started participating in online contests at planet-source-code.com in. I posted there many projects. All were developed in Visual Basic 6. These projects were my own ideas and I got a lot of appreciation.

In 2004, I got admission in NED University of Engineering and Technology, where I started my bachelors in Mechanical – Computer programming still remains as a fun thing for me. In parallel with my B.E., I keep on learning new stuff like ASP, PHP etc. I worked many engineering software like modules for Vibration, Engineering economics etc. and got a lot of appreciation from my teachers. I also started teaching C++ to the engineering students of different departments. My final year project was also a mix of mechanical and computer programming on which I got a lot of appreciation from the department.

In 2008, I started working as freelance developer. Signed up at many freelance agent websites. In start, it was very difficult but gradually I learned this business. I am still doing freelancing and giving services to many clients in USA, UK, Spain, Canada and Pakistan etc.

Last but not the least, I am a coder, I like programming and I will continue it for as long as I can – Its hobby for me, not a job!
